Online cancer treatment support videos
We have made educational and instructional videos available to our cancer patients. These videos contain helpful information throughout your cancer journey. You can find videos on chemotherapy side effects support, surgical drain care education, lymphedema management, and more.

Billing Disclosures – No Surprises Act
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act, which Congress passed as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect patients from surprise bills for emergency services at out-of-network facilities or for out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, holding them liable only for in-network cost-sharing amounts. The No Surprises Act also enables uninsured patients to receive a good faith estimate of the cost of care. Read About the Surprise Act

Patient- and Family-Centered Care at Memorial
Patient- and family-centered care (PFCC) is a way of thinking about the relationships between patients, their families and the people who provide healthcare services. PFCC is a philosophy of healthcare that Memorial Healthcare System believes best serves the needs of our patients and their families, as well as our employees and physicians.

The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.
How the Program Works
- Patients must be traveling to a cancer-related medical appointment.
- A caregiver may need to accompany a patient who cannot walk without help, or is under age 18.
- Coordinate a ride with an American Cancer Society volunteer driver.
- Coordinate a ride with a local organization that has partnered with us to provide transportation.
- Refer you to a local resource you can contact for help.
Note: It can take several business days to coordinate your ride, so please call well in advance of your appointment date.

Gilda's Club South Florida
Gilda's Club South Florida offers free programs and services for men, women, and children impacted by cancer. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing support groups, healthy living workshops, educational programs, and social activities, all free of charge. Support groups and programs take place in our downtown Fort Lauderdale location as well as at off-site locations in Weston, Deerfield Beach, Holy Cross Hospital, and Davie.
