Jeanette LewisJeanette Lewis, RN, BSN, OCN – Benign Hematology

Jeanette Lewis is an oncology-certificated RN who earned her nursing degrees from the University of Swansea in the United Kingdom, graduating with honors in 2001. She worked as an endoscopy and cardiac nurse at Morriston Hospital in the UK until relocating to South Florida in 2005. Before joining Memorial Cancer Institute, she served as an oncology nurse at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables and Advanced Medical Specialties in Miami. Jeanette was nominated for Nurse of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and received the Florence Nightingale Award in 2010.

Glorymar Dorta, RN, BSNGlorymar Dorta, RN, BSN –  Breast Cancer Program

Glorymar Dorta is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2021. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas- Arlington. Glorymar is a certified chemotherapy infusion nurse and has many years of experience in Oncology, Medical-Surgical nursing, Surgery Post-Operative, Primary Care, Telephone triage nurse, and Acute Psychiatric nursing. Glorymar’s goal as a nurse navigator is to provide support to her patients, and their families, and to assist them in overcoming any barriers they may be facing in the healthcare system and facilitate timely and quality access to care through all phases of their cancer journey.

Riezl Madriaga navigatorRiezl Madriaga, RN, BSN – Breast Cancer Program

Riezl Madriaga is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Cancer Institute in 2022. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from the Philippines in 2010 and is fluent in Tagalog. She has experience in patient care coordination specializing in developing patient-family centered goals of treatment and nursing care plans. 

She became a breast oncology navigator at Cleveland Clinic and that’s how she found new ways to continue to help patients and families here at MCI. She is honored with this privilege of being a part of the care of someone going through their cancer journey.

Ingrid Navas is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Cancer Institute in 2021 to work with breast cancer patients.  She has been a nurse since 1996.  She is a graduate of the Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.   She has many years of experience in diverse fields of oncology.  Mrs. Navas brings a unique variety of skills and compassionate clinical expertise to Memorial Cancer Institute.  She has experience as a cranial nurse specialist in Neurosurgery and later as the Nurse Navigator for the lymphoma and stem cell transplant team.  Mrs. Navas continues to advance her knowledge to better serve her patients and families on their cancer journey.

Alina RodriguezAlina, Rodriguez, RN, OCN  – Breast Cancer Program 

Alina Rodriguez is a Registered Nurse who joined Memorial Cancer Institute in 2016. She earned her nursing degree from Broward College. She started her nursing career as an infusion nurse at Memorial Regional Hospital. In this role she administered chemotherapy and biotherapy for patients with diagnoses' including but not limited to GI malignancies, gynecologic malignancies, head & neck, lung, breast, prostate, bladder, brain cancer and hematologic malignancies. In 2022 her role changed to oncology patient and family navigator for the breast cancer program. She is a dedicated nurse navigator committed to providing compassionate personalized care to all patients on their cancer journey. Her goal is to assist and guide patients in a timely manner through all phases of their cancer care.

Maia Mitchell RN BSNMaia Mitchell, RN, BSN –Breast Cancer Program

Maia Mitchell is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Cancer Institute in 2023. She has been a nurse since 2001. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University School of Nursing. She has experience working in medical- surgical, intensive care , telemetry nursing, care management and population health management. Maia spent the majority of her career working in Virginia and Georgia before moving to Florida where she joined the Memorial Healthcare System in 2019 as a Population Health Nurse. Maia is passionate about educating patients and assisting patient's to advocate for their needs. Maia's goal as a breast oncology navigator is to provide patients with the care and resources they need during their cancer journey.

Valencia_Daniels_Delaughter Valencia Daniels-Delaughter, RN – Gastrointestinal Cancer

Valencia Daniels-Delaughter is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Cancer Institute in 2016. She has many years of experience in the field of nursing, including transplant, emergency room, intensive care, medical-surgical and gastrointestinal nursing. She developed an interest in patient and family navigation after working with a GI physician whose specialty included patients with pancreatic cancer. She has had close relatives face cancer and knows the importance of having a guide along the way. Valencia's goal as a nurse navigator is to provide personalized care for all of her patients in the same way her family was cared for by their navigator.

Ashley BermudezAshley Bermudez, RN, BSN  – Gastrointestinal Cancer 

Ashley Bermudez is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2020 during the pandemic. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2019. Ashley started her nursing career as an oncology nurse caring for patients with a diversity of cancer diagnoses such as, lung, gastrointestinal, breast, head/neck, etc. She developed an interest in nurse navigation when a nurse navigator reached out to a close relative with a new cancer diagnoses and was there to guide them every step of the way. Ashley’s goal as a nurse navigator is to make a difference in the patients and families lives by providing compassionate care during these challenging times.

Susan RothenbergSusan Rothenberg, RN, BSN, OCN – Genitourinary, Gynecological, and Unknown Primary Cancers 

Susan Rothenberg is an Oncology certified nurse who earned her BSN from Florida State University. Oncology has always been her first love and most of her nursing career has been serving the adult population with cancer diagnoses. For more than 20 years she supervised an outpatient chemotherapy suite but has had experience in other aspects of cancer care as well. She has done oncology research as a certified coordinator and has had experience with high tech home care as well. She knows well the issues patients face with their diagnoses as both of her parents experienced cancer and she is a survivor herself. Susan is dedicated to providing patients with encouragement and the resources they need during their cancer journey.

Leonard McKhanLeonard McKhan, MSW –  Hematologic Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplant

Leonard Mckhan helps guide patients and families through the journey of blood-related cancers from treatment to recovery. He earned a Master's in Social Work from Barry University in 2006 and joined Memorial Healthcare System as an inpatient oncology social worker before transitioning to outpatient care. He received a Shining Star Award in 2013 after nomination by his peers, and is a member of the Florida Society of Oncology Social Workers and Broward County Medical Reserve Board. At Memorial, he has facilitated a support group for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and is a member of Speaker's Bureau. Leonard takes pride in his role as a navigator and is a caregiver at heart.

Yesenia Rosario RNYesenia Rosario, RN – Hematologic Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplant

Yesenia Rosario is a registered nurse who began her nursing journey with the US Army and graduated as an LPN in 1999. She has since obtained her RN license and has years of bedside nursing, case management, care coordination and population health management experience. The bulk of her case management career was with North Shore Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic Florida. She joined the Memorial Healthcare System in July of 2019 as a Population Health Nurse. She joins the oncology department to be a patient and family navigator with Malignant Hematology where she wants to impact lives by supporting patients and their families thru their journey with Memorial Cancer Institute. She is passionate about making sure patients feel heard and they know other person on the line will be their advocate.

Mihaela_RoldanMihaela Romanita, RN, BSN – Lung and Head/Neck Cancers

Mihaela Roldan is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2015 as a Research Specialist in Oncology. She has worked as a research coordinator for five years and became a patient and family navigator in 2017.  She is passionate about caring for patients and their families to help them cope with the challenges that come about after a cancer diagnosis. Mihaela participates in community outreach events to increase cancer awareness and promote early detection.

Roxana GuzmanRoxana Guzman, RN, BSN – Neuro, Sarcomas, and Skin Cancers

Roxana Guzman is a registered nurse who joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2018. She has earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College.  Roxana has experience working in the emergency room, urgent care, and medical-surgical nursing.  She has experience as an Oncology Clinic Nurse where she learned the importance of ensuring that her patients have a multidisciplinary care team that is available to deliver the best medical care.  In 2021, she became an oncology nurse navigator and is passionate about being an advocate for her patient’s needs and providing the best quality of care to her patients.
