About Me

I am a neurologist at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in neuromuscular medicine and care for patients with peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, neuromuscular junction diseases and motor neuron diseases. I perform electromyograms (EMGs) and sometimes order images such as MRIs, which are used to further characterize and localize these conditions, as well as skin biopsies for small fiber neuropathies.

While in medical school, I became fascinated by the neurosciences. I enjoy the intellectual work involved in treating neurological conditions and believe we are fortunate to live at a time when testing, treatments and knowledge about neurological diseases are abundant.

Diagnosing and treating a neurological disorder requires a thorough process and sometimes extensive testing. During the process, I educate patients on different diagnoses and offer my impression of their condition. I love providing answers and reassurance to patients when possible.

Sometimes, even with extensive testing, a clear-cut diagnosis might not be achieved and response to treatment(s) might not be optimal, especially for people living with some chronic conditions. Every person is unique and responds differently to treatment. Just know that I am here to support you every step of the way and to help you improve your quality of life.
