Comprehensive Sports Injury Treatment

Our team has extensive expertise in advanced approaches to orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine care. In regular meetings such as journal clubs and in-services, we share the latest advancements in sports medicine and collaborate on patients’ treatment options.

  • Emphasis on nonsurgical methods: We provide a thorough assessment, focusing on conservative treatments first, such as medications, injections and physical therapy.
  • Excellent surgical teams: If you need surgery for an injury or condition, we use minimally invasive procedures, such as arthroscopy, whenever possible. Our orthopaedic surgeons are fellowship-trained and board-certified, providing you with the expertise you need.
  • Platelet-rich Plasma Injections (PRP): If you have pain in your tendons, muscle injuries, or are recovering from surgery, our team can offer PRP injections into damaged tissues to promote healing.

Our sports injury treatment options include:

Primary Care Sports Medicine

Our primary care physician has specialized training in sports medicine, primary care and physiatry (physical medicine and rehabilitation). We provide nonsurgical care for sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and conditions (affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments).

We also offer routine primary care for overall health. Learn more about our primary care sports medicine services.

Sports Medicine Surgery

Most sports injuries heal with nonsurgical treatment such as medications, injections and physical therapy. When conservative therapy isn’t enough, our orthopaedic surgeons provide advanced surgical procedures.

Our surgeons have board certifications in orthopaedic surgery and advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and orthopaedic trauma. We treat all types of injuries, conditions and fractures, even the most complex. We also offer minimally invasive joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee for older adults who wish to remain active. Find out more about our sports medicine surgery options.

Sports Physical Therapy

Physical therapy can help you recover from injuries or surgery, prevent future injuries and improve your game. Many of our physical therapists have doctorate-level training and orthopaedic board certifications. They understand how sports and dance performance can stress the body, and they work with you to reduce your risk of injury.

Many of us are athletes ourselves, so we speak your language. We provide training and education to help you achieve your performance goals. We also offer specialized programs for dancers, first responders, people recovering from joint replacement surgery and people returning to sports after an injury.
