Sophia Galvez, PharmD
Sophia Galvez obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in 2019 and Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2023, both from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Her professional interests include cardiology and ambulatory care specialties. She looks forward to combining her passion for both disciplines in her future career. Although she spent the last eight years in Gainesville for her studies, she has strong ties to South Florida, where she was born and raised by her close-knit Cuban family. Outside of her pharmacy pursuits, she enjoys spending time with family and friends by going boating, fishing, tubing, and anything else water-related.

Jenoy Merchant, PharmD
Jenoy Merchant hails from the breathtaking island of Jamaica. He is a first-year clinical oncology resident in the Florida A&M/Bristol Myer Squibb Pharmaceutical Industry Residency Program. He completed his PharmD training at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Baltimore. He has an immense passion for the field of oncology and is currently conducting research centered around improving the lives of patients with cancer. His commitment to refining his clinical acumen and exploring his interest in immuno-oncology prior to pivoting to the pharmaceutical industry, aligns with his aspirations of becoming a medical science liaison. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Hematology/Oncology at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Jenoy is equally excited about giving back to his community and helping to nurture the next generation of pharmacists. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, writing flash fiction, and volunteering with youth development organizations.

Chidinma Ogbenna, PharmD
Chidinma (Chi) Ogbenna was born in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida A&M University, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Chi previously worked as an Overnight Clinical Pharmacist at Memorial Regional Hospital and is currently a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at the same institution. She has an interest in Ambulatory Care and Geriatric Pharmacy (she loves her silver superstars!). Chi aspires to build an independent pharmacy in the heart of her village in southeastern Nigeria. She enjoys spending time with loved ones, zentangle art therapy, and traveling the world with her taste buds.

Maxwell Okunrobo, PharmD
Maxwell Okunrobo recently earned his PharmD from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Born and raised in the ancient and historic city of Benin known for its prominent display of the Terracotta sculpture. Maxwell`s interest lies in the hematology and oncology space and aspires to translate his clinical erudition into the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical liaison building peer-peer relationships with key external experts. His favorite hobbies include gaming, traveling, and watching James Wan-directed movies.

Gabriela Sastre Perez, PharmD
Gabriela Sastre Perez was born in Cuba and moved to South Florida in 2013. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy in 2023. She is very passionate about research and very active within the community. Her areas of interests include Transplant and Infectious Disease. Gabriela’s professional goal is to become a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist. Fun fact about Gabriela is that she was a professional ballet dancer before becoming a pharmacist.

Ivanna Lugo Zamora, PharmD
Ivanna Lugo Zamora is a graduate from Nova Southeastern University’s Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy in Davie, Florida. She was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, the place she called home for 21 years, and currently resides in South Florida. Despite her many clinical interests that include critical care, Ivanna is interested in pursuing a PGY-2 in Cardiology, an area of practice she is very passionate about. In her free time she enjoys going to the movies, cooking, spending time with her family in Puerto Rico, and going to Universal Studios or Disney World.
