About Me

Medical Director, Multidisciplinary 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome Clinic at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital/Memorial Healthcare System

I am a board-certified allergist and immunologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital/Memorial Healthcare System, where I provide specialized care to children and adults with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. My areas of expertise include atopic diseases (such as asthma, eczema, food and drug allergies, and eosinophilic disorders) as well as primary immunodeficiencies like 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, CGD, CVID, and SCID among others.

I am the Medical Director of the multidisciplinary 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome Clinic at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital/Memorial Healthcare System, one of the only clinics in the U.S. offering coordinated pediatric and adult care for this condition since 2018.

I love what I do because it allows me to apply my expertise in allergy and immunology to improve the lives of children and their families. Helping them feel their best and thrive brings me great fulfillment. I’m also deeply committed to serving multicultural and underserved communities, where I find the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

In addition to my clinical role, I serve as Program Director for the Transitional Year Residency Program at Memorial Healthcare System and hold a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (FIU HWCOM), where I am also the Course Director for the Immunology Unit. In 2025, I was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award by the HWCOM graduating medical school class. In 2018 I received the Distinguished Alumni FIU TORCH Award, which is the highest honor bestowed upon alumni and faculty for making an impact in their professions, the community and at the university.

I am passionate about advancing medical education and promoting excellence in allergy and immunology care through research, mentorship, and innovation.
