About Me

Dr. Jennifer Zikria is an oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute, where she cares for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies including gastroesophageal, pancreatic and colorectal cancers. She is also an assistant professor at Florida International University, where she helps train the next generation of oncologists.

Working with patients battling cancer is more than a job to Dr. Zikria – it is a calling. She understands that cancer forever touches the lives of her patients and does all she can to help them on their journey. She encourages them to be positive and never lose hope because new discoveries and treatments are developed every day.

As a physician, Dr. Zikria believes one of her most critical roles is to build partnerships – not only with her patients but also with doctors from other specialties and researchers. These partnerships help her stay abreast of the latest medical breakthroughs and provide the most comprehensive and effective care.

Dr. Zikria is also involved in cancer research and is the principal investigator on a number of pharmaceutical and cooperative group studies.

Dr. Zikria is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. She graduated from the State University of New York in 2005, completed training in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, and Medical Hematology and Oncology training at Columbia University Medical Center New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
