About Me
As a critical care physician at Memorial Healthcare System, I care for patients facing life-threatening illnesses during their hospital stay. Many of my patients are experiencing organ failure such as kidney, liver, heart or respiratory failure or are in shock and require intensive monitoring and support.
My interest in medicine grew from a fascination with human biology and how the body responds to disease and treatment. What drew me specifically to critical care is the ability to care for the entire patient rather than focusing on a single organ system. In the ICU, we treat complex conditions that affect the whole body, and we do it as a team.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and pharmacists. We come together with a shared goal: to provide the best possible care under the most difficult circumstances.
Patients in the ICU are often critically ill, and the uncertainty can be overwhelming for their families. I take time to walk them through what’s happening, discuss the decisions we’re making and help them understand what to expect. Even in the most complex situations, I believe clarity and steady communication can ease fear and build trust, both of which are essential to good care.
