About Me

I developed an appreciation and interest in vascular pathology while treating patients with vascular disease during my general surgery residency. I have a particular interest in carotid artery disease. Other conditions I treat include peripheral artery disease, aneurysmal disease and venous disease. I also create dialysis access.

I’ve done research in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation complications, for which I received an award during my fellowship.

I like the challenges that vascular pathology presents, as you try to figure out how to best treat the patient and the pathology at the same time. One interesting aspect about vascular surgery is that you tend to have long-term relationships with your patients, and I appreciate the opportunity to build a relationship with them. I always have the patient’s best interest in mind.

I’m a fluent Spanish speaker and I enjoy bike riding, fishing and spending time with my family when I’m not working.
