About Me
I am a hematologist and oncologist at Moffitt Malignant Hematology & Cellular Therapy at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in caring for patients with plasma cell disorders such as monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS), smoldering myeloma (SMM), and multiple myeloma. I also treat related conditions such as AL amyloidosis and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (WM) .I am also the physician champion for Memorial’s Survivorship Clinic, which is being established to help patients thrive post treatment.
My first encounter with cancer was when I was a child and my mother battled leukemia. Throughout medical school, I couldn't help but gravitate towards oncology. I find great fulfillment in providing support and treatment for patients and their families whose life has changed due to a cancer diagnosis.
As a physician, I provide patient-centered care and education so patients understand their disease and are empowered to be active participants throughout their care. This enables them to be engaged so, together, we can make the best treatment decisions based on medical needs while also ensuring they are in line with their personal goals, preferences, and priorities in life.
