About Me
I am a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System, where I treat injuries and conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. My practice focuses on minimally invasive arthroscopy surgery, joint preservation, sports-related injuries and helping people return to the activities that are important to them. My primary goal is simple – get you back to what you love doing.
I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. I then completed advanced fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (formerly the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic) in Los Angeles, where I trained under world-renowned orthopedic sports medicine surgeon Dr. Neal S. During my training, I gained extensive experience caring for athletes across all levels of competition, including professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, MLS, NHL and Major League Rugby, as well as collegiate and high school athletes. I believe every person deserves a careful diagnosis, individualized treatment, attention to detail and a commitment to restoring function.
Successful treatment is more than repairing an injury. It begins with understanding what an injury has taken away from a person and what they want to regain. I work with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan. My goal is to help them return to professional competition, recreational sports, work or an active lifestyle without pain. Whenever possible, I emphasize nonoperative care and rehabilitation. I recommend surgery only when it offers the best path toward restoring function.
I was drawn to orthopedic sports medicine because it combines my passion for athletics and surgery with my desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. The most rewarding aspect of being a physician is helping patients overcome injury, regain confidence and return to the activities they love. I consider it a privilege to help guide my patients through recovery.
