Dr. David Rube joined Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Memorial Physician Group as medical director of child and adolescent psychiatry in February 2016. He is also an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Miami, Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University. He previously served as clinical director of the New York City Children’s Center/Queens Campus and Queens Children’s Psychiatric Center, an inpatient/outpatient treatment facility of New York State Office of Mental Health. After relocating to Florida with his family in February 2014, Dr. Rube took a position at the Miami VA Healthcare System’s Broward Health Clinic in Sunrise, Florida. He also worked in private practice in child and adolescent psychiatry in North Miami Beach and Boca Raton. Over the span of his career, Dr. Rube has earned national and local recognition as an outstanding teacher. In May 2016, Dr. Rube was inducted as a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association.

The challenges facing our youth today are enormous.
