Jessica Bonilla, DO
Medical School: Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine
Why Memorial: Memorial Healthcare System was my number one choice because of the people. When I interviewed with this program, I connected with the faculty and staff effortlessly. I got the sense that these wonderful people truly care about me as a person and therefore would help tailor my education as a resident to my needs, not just a cookie-cutter program. Once accepted, I received multiple phone calls and texts from my program director and faculty, to not only congratulate me on my success but to make sure my transition to residency went smoothly. In my free time I prioritize exercise with a focus on weightlifting and cycling. For leisure I seek out Escape Rooms and if there are none available, I’ll play escape board games at my favorite local boba tea shop with my partner or friends. I also maintain my status as a Yelp Elite reviewer and visit local restaurants whenever I am able.
Where are we now: I’m currently a Regional Anesthesia Fellow at UNC Chapel Hill.

Kevin Lukose, MD

Why Memorial: During my medical school anesthesiology rotation at Memorial, I quickly realized how the welcoming and collegial atmosphere was not something you find at every program. I am someone who thrives in a close-knit group where everyone knows everyone and works toward a common goal. The culture here at Memorial is one that I strongly believe will allow me to thrive and become an excellent anesthesiologist. In my spare time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, going on long walks/hikes, and spending time with family and friends.
Where are we now: I am currently working Locum as a Anesthesiologist.

Michael Aguad, MD

Why Memorial: The program at Memorial fosters an exceedingly supportive culture, nurturing all the attributes necessary for the cultivation of exemplary physicians and the emergence of visionary leaders. In addition to these characteristics, it is a community-based program affiliated with multiple medical schools in the surrounding area, providing us with a means to further advance the educational training of future physicians, all while taking care of a diverse patient population. This institution's geographic location in the sun-kissed landscapes of South Florida is ideally suited to accommodate a wide range of individual avocations and pursuits.
Where are we now? I’m currently an Attending Multispecialty Anesthesiologist in Texas.

Grace Chalhoub, DO
Medical School: Nova Southeastern University
Why Memorial: As a south Florida local, Memorial's anesthesiology program was automatically at the top of my rank list. While there are many anesthesiology residency programs in the area, MHS was the one program that truly appealed to me. I especially like the family aspect of this program and the ability to work one on one with the attendings. Now that I have been here for over two years, I could not be happier with my decision. I have great support that extends from my program director to attendings, co-residents, GME, nursing and pretty much everyone at the hospital. By being a part of MHS anesthesiology program, I know that I will be well-equipped for any fellowship I decide to pursue.

Tilman Chambers, MD
Medical School: University of South Florida
Why Memorial: I was part of one of the COVID matches. I met with Dr. Houseman, Onasis, and Gianfranco for dinner, and the chemistry was there. We connected quickly on our love of fitness, travel, and good food. I realized quickly into dinner that Dr. Houseman has a tenacity and zeal paired with the leadership skills necessary to create a unique program that caters to each person’s individual needs. Memorial Healthcare System appealed to me because I am one of an exclusive few. We have well trained faculty who act as an invested community to help us develop our medical knowledge and professionally. As a native Floridian, South Florida is also appealing to me for it's fantastic weather and activities for down time.
Where are we now? I’m currently a Regional Anesthesia Fellow at Yale University

Stephan Mouhanna, MD
Medical School: Florida International University, College of Medicine
Why Memorial: The faculty and culture at Memorial is irreplaceable and a place I can call my second home. Throughout medical school I participated in several rotations at Memorial, including Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, and (of course) Anesthesiology. I came to bond with many of the physicians, nurses, and other medical staff working in the hospitals and had the pleasure of observing and being involved in their interactions with patients as well as participating in patient care. The experiences at this hospital system, in addition to the wonderful staff and structure of the anesthesiology program, helped solidify MHS as my residency location of choice for the next four years. It has been and will be a pleasure to work with the medical staff I have come to consider my family as I develop into a full-fledged Anesthesiologist at Memorial.
Where are we now: I’m currently a Pain Management Fellow at Duke University.

Taimoor Khan, MD
Medical School: University of Central Florida, College of Medicine
Why Memorial: I realized early in the interview season that the Memorial Healthcare System residency is unique. Dr. Houseman and the Anesthesiology department combine the vision of a great community hospital with the academic standards and practices learned at some of the top academic programs in the country. Here we can take advantage of the small class size while enjoying a huge volume and diversity of cases. In my free time, I practice guitar and spend time with my family.
Where are we now: I’m currently an Attending Anesthesiologist at HCA North Florida.

Gianfranco Molfetto, DO
Medical School: Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine
Why Memorial: Being from South Florida and having previously worked at Memorial, I was confident that my training here would be excellent. The surrounding area hosts a diverse patient population with interesting pathology that will prepare us to practice anywhere. Our faculty each bring their own unique perspective from different training backgrounds, adding to our education. In my free time, I enjoy working out, tennis, and diving.

Onassis Naim, MD
Medical School: Universidad de Oriente Escuela de Medicina, Nucleo de Bolivar
Why Memorial: Our Memorial Healthcare Residency Program benefits from a well-established safety-net hospital system in Florida with a highly diverse patient population and challenging cases. The faculty and staff are warm and do their best to give residents the best education. I am sure that by the end of my residency I will be well-equipped to treat patients from all backgrounds and capably manage a wide variety of challenging cases. I enjoy traveling and recently hiked at Bryce, Zion, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Arches. I also enjoy reading, playing sports, bicycling, and skiing.
Where are we now: After completing a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at Harvard University, I am now practicing as an Attending Anesthesiologist at Memorial Healthcare System.
