About Me

I am a neurosurgeon with subspecialties in cerebrovascular, skull base and neuro-oncological neurosurgery. At Memorial Healthcare System, I treat complex tumors, blood vessel abnormalities and other high-risk conditions in the brain and spine.

I believe I was called to become a physician. It’s truly a gift to be able to meet so many people in their time of need and walk with them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

The nervous system is the hardware of a person’s identity. It makes us who we are. I chose neurosurgery because it gives me the opportunity to try and preserve a patient’s sense of self. Helping someone preserve their identity and independence is an incredible privilege.

My approach to care is built on relationships and shared decision-making. I believe every interaction with a patient is a chance to strengthen that relationship and build trust. I strive to treat my patients with compassion and respect as we work together to find the right treatment plan for them.

Areas of Focus

  • Cerebrovascular surgery: Treats problems in the blood vessels of the brain and spinal cord, such as aneurysms, blood flow disruptions and strokes
  • Skull base surgery: Removes tumors and treats other high-risk conditions in the small, intricate space where the brain meets the top of the spinal cord
  • Neuro-oncological surgery: Performs complex procedures to remove cancerous and noncancerous tumors in the brain and spine
