About Me

As a high-risk breast cancer internal medicine physician at Memorial Healthcare System, I offer risk management and advocacy for people with an increased risk of breast cancer. I help my patients understand their level of risk, prevention options and screening recommendations. I also provide comprehensive care for a range of other medical conditions and preventive services.

I knew I wanted to be a physician after witnessing the healthcare challenges of my community in Guyana, South America. Those experiences, coupled with an innate desire for advocacy, fueled my passion for the field of medicine.

My approach to care is built on evaluating and treating my patients as a whole person. No matter what challenges my patients are facing, I advocate for patient-centered and culturally sensitive care.

I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and I’ve been practicing medicine since 1998.
