About Me

I am a pediatric neurosurgeon at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital specializing in the treatment of spina bifida, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, Chiari malformation, brain tumors and craniosynostosis among children and adolescents. My particular interest lies in prenatal repair of myelomeningocele, a common and severe form of spina bifida.

The loss of a dear childhood friend to cancer ignited my passion for medicine, propelling me toward pursuing a career as a physician. During my time in medical school, I became captivated by neurosurgery and neonatology, eventually forging a career that blends both specialties.

Collaborating with families is invaluable to me, and I handle every patient's care as I would for a member of my own family. It is vital to empower families with comprehensive knowledge so they grasp the diagnosis thoroughly and feel confident in their treatment choices. Above all, I look forward to dedicating my professional life to providing care of the highest quality to my patients and their families.

It is a joy and an honor to provide the world-class care that Joe DiMaggio and Memorial have become known for.

Research
I have been involved in clinical research throughout my training and plan to continue my research endeavors at Memorial. My focus is on improving treatment options and outcomes for neurosurgical patients.
