About Me
As a pediatric pulmonologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, I provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of acute and chronic respiratory diseases in patients from birth through adolescence. These include chronic cough, asthma, recurrent pneumonia, aerodigestive disorders, lung conditions in premature infants (including bronchopulmonary dysplasia), respiratory complications of neuromuscular disorders and genetic lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia.
From early in my medical journey, I was drawn to pediatrics for the chance to influence children’s health from the beginning of their lives. Recognizing that lung conditions are among the leading causes of urgent care visits and hospitalizations in children, I was inspired to dedicate my career to improving outcomes in this area. Pursuing subspecialty training in pediatric pulmonology has allowed me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families affected by respiratory disease.
I love working with children and their families to bring real improvements to their health, while building lasting and meaningful relationships along the way. I enjoy interacting with kids, sharing in parents’ dedication to their child’s well-being and shaping my care around the needs and goals of each family.
My research on asthma severity and obesity-related asthma complements my clinical work, and I have led quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing asthma management. During my fellowship training, I was recognized with awards for both quality improvement and research projects, and I have presented my work at the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference. Through these efforts, I remain committed to advancing patient care, promoting health equity and contributing to the broader scientific community, all to ensure children have the healthiest start possible.
