MyChart Can Help Manage Your ER Care

March 18, 2026

When an emergency happens, the last thing you want to worry about is remembering every detail of your medical history or test results. That’s where Memorial MyChart, Memorial Healthcare System’s secure online patient portal, makes a real difference.

Memorial MyChart keeps your emergency care organized, connected, and easy to access so you and your care team can focus on what matters most: getting you the right treatment as quickly as possible.

Instantly Share Vital Health Information

During an ER visit, fast access to your health history can help doctors make informed decisions. Through MyChart, Memorial’s ER team can immediately see your allergies, medications, past treatments, and lab results. This gives them a clear picture of your health, even if you can’t share the details yourself.

And if you’ve visited another Memorial location recently, your care information travels with you. That means fewer questions, less paperwork, and faster care when every second counts.

Get Real-Time Updates on Your ER Visit

When you open MyChart during your emergency department visit, you can view updates about your care through a feature called MyChart Bedside. This feature lets you follow along with important parts of your visit.

From your emergency visit page, you can:

  • Check where you are in the treatment process, such as waiting for test results or preparing for discharge
  • Learn about medications you are receiving during your visit
  • Learn about the members of your care team
  • See lab results and imaging reports

Stay Connected with Family and Caregivers

You can give a trusted family member or caregiver proxy access to your MyChart account. With permission, they can view important information about your care and help manage your health.

During an emergency visit, proxies may be able to see updates about your visit, review results and follow along with your care, even if they are not able to be at the hospital in person.
