About Me

I am a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Memorial Healthcare System, caring for patients with asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary nodules, sleep apnea, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, cough, wheezing and pregnancy-related breathing issues.

To breathe is to live. I’ve always been drawn to the lungs because they are our constant link to the outside world, powering every other system in the body by delivering oxygen. Lung conditions can be complex. Sometimes the symptoms are clear, and other times they are subtle and intertwined with other health issues. I enjoy that challenge as well as the urgency and teamwork that critical care demands. It requires me to keep the bigger picture in mind while acting decisively to preserve life.

For me, good medicine starts with a genuine connection. Before we get into the details of tests or treatments, I want to understand what’s truly going on from my patient’s perspective and what they hope to achieve. I find the most rewarding moments are when I can help someone improve their breathing or quality of life in ways they didn’t think were possible.
