About Me
I am a radiation oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute, where I treat patients with all types of cancer as well as many benign conditions. I care for individuals with a wide variety of solid tumors including breast cancer, head and neck cancers, lung cancer, central nervous system tumors, genitourinary cancers such as prostate and bladder cancer, gynecologic cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, lymphomas and skin cancers. My goal is to provide precise, compassionate treatment tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Medicine runs in my family. Both of my parents are doctors, and my mother grew up in a family of 10 children, all of whom became doctors. From an early age, I was imprinted by the idea that there was no higher calling than medicine. In college I studied chemistry and physics, and I was naturally drawn to the challenge of solving complex medical problems like cancer through a quantitative and technological lens. Radiation oncology spoke to me because it combines anatomy, science and technology with evidence-based, compassionate care.
I know a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, with unfamiliar terms, advanced technology and many treatment options. My role is to guide patients through every step — listening to their story, explaining treatment in clear terms and helping them feel informed and supported. I work closely with our team of medical and surgical oncologists to ensure every patient receives comprehensive, individualized care.
In addition to my clinical work, I have presented at national and international meetings and published around 20 peer-reviewed articles. With leadership experience in radiation oncology, I also have a strong interest in quality improvement initiatives and in building broader, comprehensive cancer center resources to enhance patient care.
I am also actively involved in clinical research and offer our patients access to cutting-edge clinical trials. I have a particular interest in supporting multicenter cooperative group trials, which are addressing some of the most critical, practice-changing questions in cancer care at a national level. Through this work, I aim to ensure that patients at Memorial have access to the latest advances in treatment close to home.
