Yehuda E. Deutsch, MD, a native of South Florida, is board certified in internal medicine with specialty in hematology and oncology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2009 and was elected into the national Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Deutsch completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He continued his training at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital, completing a fellowship in hematology-oncology. He is the recipient of the Peter A. Cassileth award for outstanding clinical judgment, enthusiasm for learning and compassionate care.
Dr. Deutsch has a special focus in hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. He is dedicated to improving patient care through teaching and clinical research. In addition to teaching at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, he has undertaken multiple quality-improvement projects, which have improved patient care, and he has been a clinical investigator in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Deutsch was selected to participate in the 2014 Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop in Flims, Switzerland. He has numerous publications and has given presentations at both local and international meetings.
In 2015, Dr. Deutsch joined our outstanding team at Memorial Cancer Institute and Memorial Physician Group.
