About Me

Margarita Almeida El-Ramey, DO, is a board-certified neurologist with a subspecialty in electrodiagnostic medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her post-graduate and fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic Florida. She also holds a Master of Science degree in molecular biology.

As a general neurologist, Dr. Almeida El-Ramey treats all conditions affecting the nervous system with a special interest in dementia/cognitive disorders, neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and headache syndromes. Along with colleagues, she published a chapter in The Cervical Spine titled Neurologic Evaluation of the Cervical Spine.

Dr. Almeida El-Ramey is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and Broward Medical Association. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University and trains medical students, residents and fellows.

In her office, Dr. Almeida El-Ramey performs the following procedures: EMG, EEG, lumbar punctures and chemodenervation (Botox) for a multitude of neurological conditions.
