If you have not received text messages about your health care with Memorial before, you can enroll now.

Text “START” to 59183 to receive important messages about:

  • MyChart account updates
  • Billing information
  • Prescription reminders
  • Health Updates
If you choose not to opt in or unsubscribe, you will not receive text messages about your care including appointment reminders.

How do I edit my Communication Preferences?

You can manage your communication preferences through the following methods:

Online via MyChart:
Log in to your MyChart account and navigate to the "Communication Preferences" option under the Account Settings section in the Menu.

Call the Help Desk:
Contact our Help Desk at 954-276-7676 for assistance with updating your preferences.

In-Person at Your Next Appointment:
Simply ask the front desk staff to update your communication preferences during check-in at your next appointment.

How do I enroll to receive text messages?

Text “START” to 59183 to receive important messages about your care at Memorial Healthcare System.

You can also sign up for text messaging in Memorial MyChart by updating your Communication Preferences.

  1. Log in to MyChart
  2. Click Menu and scroll down to the Account Settings section
  3. Select “Communication Preferences” from the main menu.
  4. Click the “Subscribe” button under the Text Message section.
  5. Use the toggle button to turn on your text message subscription.
How do I opt out of text messages?

To stop receiving automated text messages from Memorial Healthcare System (MHS), text STOP to 59183 at any time. You can also update your preferences on the Communication Preferences page in Memorial MyChart.

After opting out, you will receive one final message confirming your unsubscribe request. No further text messages will be sent from this SMS application.

Please note: By opting out, you will no longer receive text messages about appointment reminders and other care-related information. However, you will continue to receive email notifications unless you update your preferences in MyChart.

What If I do not have a MyChart account or can't remember my password?

I accidentally Opted out. What do I do?
You can opt in again by texting START to 59183 or by changing your communication preferences to subscribe back to text messages again in Memorial MyChart.
How do I update my phone or email?

To update your email and phone number on MyChart, you can do the following:

  1. Log in to MyChart
  2. Click Menu
  3. Scroll down to Account Settings
  4. Click Personal Information
  5. Update your email and phone number
  6. Click Save Changes

Can I receive text messages on my international phone number?
Unfortunately, we are unable to send text messages to phone numbers outside the U.S., however if you have an active MyChart Account with Memorial Healthcare System you can make edits to your communications preferences inside MyChart to receive emails about your care at Memorial.
