About Me
I am an urgent care physician at Memorial Healthcare System, where I care for patients of all ages with a wide range of medical concerns. In the urgent care setting, I frequently treat upper respiratory infections, ear infections, minor injuries, urinary tract infections, asthma exacerbations, rashes and gastrointestinal issues like nausea or abdominal pain. I also perform laceration repairs and evaluate orthopedic concerns such as sprains and minor fractures.
I was drawn to medicine by a lifelong interest in both science and service. Early in my training, I discovered how much I thrive in fast-paced settings where clinical decision-making and compassion need to work hand in hand. Urgent care felt like a natural fit. It allows me to use a broad skill set to manage diverse conditions while staying connected to the variety of people I care for. After completing a three-year family medicine residency, I deepened my training by completing a year-long fellowship in urgent care at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, allowing me to further refine my clinical approach.
I love being able to offer real-time answers and relief to patients during moments of uncertainty. It’s incredibly rewarding to diagnose and treat someone on the spot and watch their anxiety turn into relief. I also value the relationships I build — even during brief visits — through listening closely and helping people feel genuinely cared for.
My approach is rooted in clear communication, mutual respect and practical, actionable guidance. When meeting me for the first time, patients and parents can expect a calm, thoughtful atmosphere where their concerns are taken seriously. I make it a priority to explain diagnoses and treatment plans in plain language (in addition to English, I also speak Spanish and Portuguese), and I always welcome questions. My goal is for every patient to leave feeling informed, understood and confident about their next steps.
