About Me

I am a surgical hospitalist at Memorial Healthcare System. I treat acute abdominal conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, small bowel obstruction, hernias and bowel perforation. I also treat soft tissue conditions such as abscesses and pressure wounds.

My mother was a nurse and seeing the enjoyment she got from her work encouraged me to pursue a career in medicine. My experiences as a volunteer, emergency medical technician (EMT) and medical student during clinical rotations inspired me to become a surgeon. I love to provide care through surgical and nonsurgical procedures to address acute problems when patients are in the hospital.

When meeting and caring for patients, I strive to always be respectful, thoughtful and thorough with their care. I treat patients like I would my family members if they needed surgery. While I have surgical expertise, surgery is not always the best option. Each case is unique, and I work with patients and their families to find the best treatment for their needs.

Before joining Memorial, I was a surgical hospitalist in the Orlando area and Broward community for more than eight years.
