Medical Director, Oncology Supportive Services, Memorial Cancer Institute
Dr. Patrick Reynolds is a board-certified palliative medicine physician with more than 20 years’ experience in cancer care. He is also board-certified in pain medicine and psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine, and then joined the faculty at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Sylvester Cancer Center. Prior to joining Memorial Cancer Institute, he was Director of Oncology Supportive Care Services for Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center. His expertise is in treating pain and distressing symptoms in people with cancer.
Dr. Reynolds was appointed Medical Director of Oncology Supportive Services at Memorial Cancer Institute in 2013. Oncology Support Services is a team of medical professionals – including psychologists, social workers, nurse navigators, dietitians, acupuncturists and massage therapists – who work alongside the oncology team to support patients. Oncology Support Services addresses cancer-related pain and physical and psychological symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, depression, social and nutrition issues, and advanced care planning.
