About Me
I am an acute care general surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients in need of emergency procedures and with urgent conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis and infections requiring surgical procedures.
I was drawn to a career in medicine from the time I was young because I wanted to do what I could to fight the feeling of helplessness against disease, which can be overwhelming. During my medical training, I chose to specialize in surgery because I found it rewarding to work with my hands.
At Memorial, I value being part of a high-quality team that provides outstanding patient care. It gives me great satisfaction to help patients and their families through difficult times. I believe it is my duty to treat all patients with respect and compassion, just as I would treat and advise my own family.
In addition to providing patient care, I also serve as faculty for the education of medical students and surgery residents. I see it as my responsibility to educate the next generation of doctors, and in so doing, be able to reach more patients than I will ever be able to on my own.
