Memorial Healthcare System has been named one of Modern Healthcare magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the ninth time – one of only eight companies in Florida, and one of only two that delivers direct healthcare services, to make the list.

Healthcare employers from across the country participated in the Best Places to Work in Healthcare program, which is conducted by Modern Healthcare in partnership with Best Companies Group and sponsored by the Studer Group.

Organizations named to the list conduct confidential employee satisfaction surveys as part of their application.

Modern Healthcare will announce a ranked order of this year’s Best Places in September.

“We’re proud that over the years, we’ve received consistent affirmation that Memorial provides an atmosphere of transparency, teamwork and trust,” says Aurelio M. Fernandez, III, FACHE, Memorial’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our employees gave Memorial top ratings on issues such as communications, leadership and opportunities to learn and grow on the job.”

Modern Healthcare is a weekly magazine, website and e-news service examining the most pressing issues in healthcare. The ranking methodology uses employer questionnaires and employee satisfaction surveys to identify workplaces that have been successful in creating supportive, engaging work environments.

The Modern Healthcare award is the latest in a long list of honors that Memorial Healthcare System has received as a top healthcare provider and a great place to work.

They include Florida Trend magazine’s list of the Best Companies to Work For in Florida, to which Memorial has been named eight times, the President’s Award for Excellence in Healthcare, awarded by Professional Research Consultants, and the Most Wired Hospitals and Health award from Hospitals & Health Networks, which Memorial has received seven times.
