Special Funds

Memorial Foundation raises funds for general programs and services and many special initiatives.

In addition to raising funds for general programs and services, Memorial Foundation also supports many important initiatives, including:

Adaptive Sports Program – support for patients who have become physically disabled due to a stroke, spinal cord or brain injury, amputation or other medical condition.

Breast Cancer Center Fund – helps support the treatment, educational programs and capital needs of the Breast Cancer Center.

Jessie Salone Nursing Education Fund – provides the means necessary to continue the education of nurses in the traditional manner of patient and family centered care.

Leukemia, Lymphoma and BMT Program Fund – provides long term, need based housing assistance for patients undergoing allogeneic bone marrow transplant. Also assists in outreach and equipment needs of the Bone and Marrow Transplant Program.

March for Cancer – provides emergency, need based financial assistance to cancer patients for medication, utilities, rent, etc.

Memorial Cancer Institute Fund – invests in educational and treatment programs as well as equipment needs for the Institute.

Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute – assists in the acquisition of equipment and funding of educational and treatment programs for Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute patients, including those is our heart transplant program.

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute – assists in the continuation to address the physical, cognitive, emotional, social and psychological needs of patients to help maximize their efforts in regaining their independence.

MHS Pet Therapy Program – assists with the training and costs of the Pet Therapy Program at Memorial Healthcare System.

Pink Angels Fund – supports a wide variety of programs and services to better serve the patients of the Memorial Breast Cancer Center. Learn more about how to contribute.

Women’s Imaging Center Fund – equipment purchases, education, treatment programs and patient care related to Women’s Imaging Center.

The Wrobel Family Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Fund - supports research and educational programs and provides emergency financial assistance to pancreatic cancer patients.
