The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute is the only ACHD program in South Florida accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Diagnostic Testing for ACHD

While many people are diagnosed with a congenital heart condition as a baby, some do not realize they have a condition until adulthood. People diagnosed with CHD as children may develop new heart conditions as they age. In both situations, getting a prompt and accurate diagnosis is essential.

At Memorial, our advanced imaging specialists are specially trained to read and interpret:

Cardiac computed tomography (CT) scans
Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests
Echocardiograms, including intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

ACHD Program at Memorial

Physicians with Memorial’s Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program describe the multidisciplinary and comprehensive care they provide. The first program in Florida accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association, it is one of the few programs in the country where a pediatric hospital and an adult hospital are physically conjoined to provide care and expertise to meet the complex needs of congenital patients regardless of their age.
