What's the Difference Between a Screening Mammogram and Diagnostic Mammogram?

 Diagnostic Mammogram Diagnostic mammograms are used after suspicious results on a screening mammogram, or if some abnormal signs are found by you or your physician during a routine  $50*
Breast Ultrasound A breast ultrasound is a non-invasive test that uses sound waves to make images of the breast. Often, it's use as a follow-up test after an abnormal finding on a mammogram, breast MRI or clinical breast exam  $100*
Screening Mammogram
 Screening mammograms are regular preventative x-ray exams of the breasts to detect breast cancer in women who have no symptoms.  $100*
*Offer valid from September 15 – October 31, 2021. Check with your insurer to find out if your health plan covers the copay and/or deductible for a 3D screening mammogram, diagnostic mammogram and breast ultrasound. If insurance or other healthcare payor does not cover the 3D screening mammogram, diagnostic mammogram or breast ultrasound, you can have the 3D screening mammogram for the $50 rate, diagnostic mammogram for the $100 rate and breast ultrasound for the $100 rate. Payment must be made in advance. Price includes the performance and interpretation of the exam. Patients must have a prescription for the procedure.
