Patient Navigators

If you have been diagnosed with cancer or are in need of a second opinion, there’s no need to face your cancer journey alone. Memorial Cancer Institute can pair you with a patient navigator who will educate you and your family about your specific type of cancer and guide you through each step of your cancer care.

Meet our patient navigators.

Personalized Cancer Support

Your patient navigator is a specially trained oncology nurse or social worker who can provide you with the support you need – when you need it most. As your main point of contact, your patient navigator will meet with you to review your diagnosis and answer any questions you have about your treatment, which can include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and/or drug therapy.

Your patient navigator will help ensure all of your cancer treatments and procedures are scheduled in a timely manner. Patient navigators can also help with:

  • Transportation
  • Medical records
  • EKGs and pathology reports
  • Clinical trials
  • Financial assistance

Patient navigators are available to provide compassionate support at any point in your care and can:

  • Answer questions about your specific type of cancer
  • Educate and guide you through your treatment process
  • Schedule your appointments, including biopsies and surgical procedures
