About Me
I am a primary care physician specializing in internal medicine at Memorial Healthcare System. I help patients manage a variety of health conditions and concerns – everything from A to Z.
I treat new onset conditions such as rashes, respiratory and skin infections, headaches, sports/physical injuries, and sexually transmitted diseases, as well as chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, HIV, dementia, depression and anxiety. I also frequently counsel patients without current medical conditions on life strategies to help keep them in the best shape possible.
My approach to medical care is that medication is clearly an essential aspect of our current capacity to help keep patients healthy, but I work closely with all of my patients to integrate them as active participants of their own health and well being. I frequently discuss healthy eating habits, physical activity and lifestyle choices that can help achieve similar or better outcomes than just relying on medication alone. This is a patient-based approach and so I tailor my recommendations to each patient's age, mobility, work schedule, and family and social responsibilities.
I moved from New York City in 2008 and have worked at Holy Cross Hospital until 2019, when I joined Memorial. Before that, I completed my residency and worked in New York City for five years. I worked in and for major hospitals in NY such as Mount Sinai, Beth Israel and New York Presbyterian. I was also a partner in a private practice, and created and ran a successful weight-loss program in New York and Florida.
