About Me

I am an infectious disease specialist at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients living with HIV as well as those facing a wide variety of illnesses including atypical mycobacterial infections, healthcare-associated infections, multi-drug resistant infections, cellulitis, bone and joint infections and urinary tract infections.

I became a doctor to use my love of science to improve others' lives. Infectious disease is an endlessly fascinating specialty that was always an intuitive choice for me — and I have fallen even more in love with it as I work with and learn from impressive mentors.

When caring for patients, I always aim to be kind and thoughtful and pay close attention to details. I take great pride in my ability to adapt my approach to medical care so that patients can understand even the most complex medical scenarios. My favorite part of this job is having the opportunity to see firsthand the improvements in my patients' lives.

Research

During fellowship training, my primary research interest was multi-drug resistant infections. My colleagues and I worked to assess the community prevalence of these bacteria and examine how they might manifest as ventilator-associated pneumonia in the hospital's intensive care units.
