Jacqueline Montoya, MD, an intensivist, earned her medical degree at the Morehouse School of Medicine in 2009. She completed her surgical residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, in 2010, and her emergency medicine residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2013. Dr. Montoya then completed her trauma/critical care fellowship at St. Luke’s Hospital at Temple University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 2015. She served an emergency medicine attending physician at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2015, and at St. Luke’s University Hospital, from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Montoya joined Memorial Healthcare System and Memorial Physician Group in the Division of Critical Care Medicine in 2015.
Dr. Montoya’s research interests include the evolution of FAST and extended FAST for the evaluation of pneumothorax, and understanding physician variability in care during the initiation of early goal-directed therapy for sepsis.
