About Me

I am a neurologist at Memorial Healthcare System specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of epilepsy.

When I was a child, my father was diagnosed with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy with frequent seizures with staring and lip smacking. It was frightening and sobering to see such fragility in the man who had always been the model of security and strength for me. This personal experience has provided me with unique insight into what family members and patients with epilepsy are experiencing. It inspired me to pursue a career in neurology and epilepsy care, where I can help others who are facing similar circumstances.

Each person has their own story to tell, and epilepsy can impact their lives in different ways. It’s a privilege to help improve their quality of life through management of the condition and common comorbidities, such as mood disorders that can often be overlooked.

When working with patients, transparency and teaching are important to me. I believe that providing the highest level of care includes explaining the patient’s condition in a way they can understand, as well as providing direction. I also assure them that I will be with them each step of the way and instill the confidence to always ask questions, during and after their visits.
