Christian Bacheler, MD
I am a neurohospitalist at Memorial Healthcare System, providing inpatient services for patients at both Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West. I diagnose and treat patients with acute neurological issues including strokes, transient ischemic attacks, blood clots, seizures, neuropathies, neuro-infectious disorders, headaches and more. I also provide care to hospitalized patients who have co-existing neurological issues and work with their medical teams to address their needs during their hospital stay.
A careful and thorough diagnostic approach is crucial to any new patient encounter, as is keeping that patient well informed of his or her evaluation and management. I aim to understand your symptoms, listen to your concerns and arrive at an accurate diagnosis.
I also recognize that neurological conditions can often be severe, life-changing events, and strive to help create management plans to fit your individual needs. It is very important to me that you, and your family, understand your neurological condition. I take the time to explain what is going on, what it means, and together we will find the best way to move forward and manage your condition.
