Meet the Physician

Dr. Syed Ali is a board-certified doctor of internal medicine and nephrology. He earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1985 and completed his internship at Karachi’s Civil Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in Pakistan. After spending three years in the U.K., he relocated to the United States, where he joined the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Metro Health Medical Center, a teaching hospital affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. He completed his fellowship in nephrology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997.

Dr. Ali served as clinical assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University from 2000 to 2004, where he was responsible for supervising and teaching fourth-year medical students. His areas of interest include acute renal failure, stone disease, chronic kidney disease, transplants and end-stage renal disease.
