Its mission: to develop state-of-the-art research tools and discover new knowledge to benefit patients and lead advances in patient care.

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives CHIME has recognized Memorial Healthcare System with its Performance Excellence Award, certifying the healthcare system at a level 9 in the 2020 Digital Health Most Wired program, a ranking that places Memorial above 97% of the more than 30,000 organizations that participated in the annual survey.
The new multiple myeloma institute at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines has added oncologists to treat those with cancer in their bone marrow and will conduct research to benefit newly-diagnosed and relapsed blood cancer patients. The myeloma institute is the only one of its kind in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
