Pediatric Endocrinology

Rotation: PED 403-1

Length: 4 weeks

Goals:  Familiarize students with evidence-based treatments for pediatric endocrine disorders and specific history taking skills to provide excellent consultation. You should continue to improve your skills with physical examination. You should become knowledgeable about treatments frequently used in pediatric endocrinology and become familiar with the appropriate follow up once treatment is initiated. 

Additional Information and Description: This clinical rotation will expose you to the specialty of Pediatric Endocrinology. You will have the opportunity to learn by examining and providing care for patients, with a focus on the most common pediatric endocrine problems. You should participate in admission, rounds, consultations, or discharge activities and should care for a panel of patients.
