Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Rotation: PED 401-1
Length: 2 or 4 weeks
Goals: History taking, physical examination, diagnostic evaluation, treatment and follow-up, and NICU evidence-based care. Co-manage a select number of patients with the attending Neonatologist. Ask (and answer) a clinical question. Pick any topic of interest, ask a question, research the answer and present to Neo at end of rotation. Read – Read – Read.
Additional Information and Description: Attend multidisciplinary rounds, participate in perinatal conference, spend time with Nursing, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Lactation, Speech, OT/PT, Discharge Coordinator and Social Worker, and participate in deliveries/admissions/consults
