Himangi Kaushal, MD, FACP Smart Snippet: Video Datasource: Himanji Kaushal Internal Medicine Residency Director Dr. Kaushal serves as the Founding Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Healthcare System. Dr. Kaushal graduated from Government Medical College, Amritsar (India) and completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. In addition she completed the Caterpillar Faculty Scholars Fellowship, a 16-month program geared toward enhancing scholars’ professional, project development, mentoring and teaching skills. She has received formal training in Evidence Based Medicine at the McMaster Evidence Based Clinical Practice Workshop. Prior to joining Memorial Healthcare System, Dr. Kaushal was the Founding Program Director of the Kendall Regional Internal Medicine Residency program, the Associate Program Director at the University of Miami Palm Beach Campus and Core Faculty at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine, Peoria. She is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties and in Integrative Holistic Medicine by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Dr. Kaushal is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and currently serves as the Secretary and Chair of Membership for the Florida Chapter of ACP. She received the Florida Chapter ACP’s “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” award for 2015. She also serves on the Educational Program Planning Committee for the national Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM). Dr. Kaushal is currently an Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University.
