Barney A. Greenberg, DPMDr. Barney A. Greenberg, DPM, will serve as Director of Podiatric Residency for Graduate Medical Education at Memorial Healthcare System.
After earning his bachelor's degree from the City University of New York in 1974, Dr. Greenberg attended Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, which is now part of Kent State University. He graduated with honors in 1978 and was a member of the Pi Delta National Honor Society. He later moved to South Florida to complete his surgical training at Osteopathic General Hospital in North Miami Beach, Florida. Since then, Dr. Greenberg has been actively training residents and was appointed Podiatry Residency Director at Memorial in 2008. Today, the expanded residency program trains two residents per year and is approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education as a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification (PMSR/RRA) program.
Additionally, Dr. Greenberg has served as President of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and the Broward County Podiatric Medical Association. He currently acts as Chair of the American Podiatric Medical Association Political Action Committee, Co-Chair of Conventions for the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and Chief Delegate of Florida to the American Podiatric Medical Associate (APMA) House of Delegates.
