Dr. Ronald Ford serves as the Program Director for the Pediatrics Residency Program at Memorial Healthcare System.
Dr. Ford graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Since graduating, he has held many administrative positions, including Medical Director of Forensic Pediatrics at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee; Clinical Director of the Hospitalist Program at All Children’s Hospital in St Petersburg, Florida and most recently as Medical Director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Ford currently has an academic appointment at Florida Atlantic University. Previous appointments include the University of South Florida College of Medicine and the Medical University of South Carolina. Since 1998, Dr. Ford has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and is currently a member of both the AAP Sections on Hospital Medicine and Bioethics.
Dr. Ford has served and chaired many committees. At Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, he currently serves on the Graduate Medical Education Committee, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Advisory Council, Inpatient Care Committee, Clinical Effectiveness Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Council on Quality and Safety.
