Chief, Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Center, and Medical Director, Orthopaedic Trauma, Memorial Healthcare System
Daniel Chan, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in complex fracture reconstruction as well as hip and knee replacement.
In addition to performing outpatient fracture surgery in the ambulatory surgical center (ASC) setting, Dr. Chan was the first surgeon (and the only one in Miami-Dade or Broward County) to perform both anterior approach total hip replacement and total knee replacement in an ASC.
After utilizing minimally-invasive surgical techniques and multi-modal pain management protocols, most patients can walk within an hour of surgery and go home within a few hours, and having physical therapy the same day.
The patient experience has been overwhelmingly positive and Dr. Chan continues to lead the way in what is quickly becoming the standard of care for patients with debilitating hip and knee arthritis.
