Memorial Regional Hospital Honored for High-Quality Patient Care and Operational Efficiency by Premier Healthcare Alliance —
One of Only 23 Hospitals Recognized Nationwide

(Hollywood, Fla.) — Memorial Regional Hospital recently won the Premier Award for Quality (AFQ), which recognizes leading healthcare organizations that efficiently provide outstanding patient care and consistently set the standard in clinical excellence at a national level. Of more than 3,796 eligible hospitals nationwide, Memorial Regional Hospital was one of only 23 winners – and the only Florida hospital -- to receive the special recognition from Premier healthcare alliance. Awards were presented at the 2009 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition, which was held June 16-19 in Anaheim, Calif.

All acute care inpatient facilities in the United States that submitted data to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) were considered for the AFQ, including those entities involved with the CMS Hospital Compare project.
