Memorial Hospital Miramar Elects New Medical Officers

(Hollywood, Fla.) — Three physicians were recently elected to leadership positions on the Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital Miramar.

Dr. Hector Pombo, whose specialty is general surgery, was elected Chief of Staff. He will be responsible for all matters relating to the Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital Miramar, including quality of care and patient safety issues.

Dr. Jay B. Fine, whose specialty is plastic surgery, was elected Vice Chief of Staff. He will assume all responsibilities in the absence of the Chief of Staff.

Dr. Ruddy Valdes, whose specialty is emergency medicine, was elected Secretary/Treasurer. He will serve on the Memorial Healthcare System Credentials Committee representing Memorial Hospital Miramar.
