Memorial Healthcare System Affiliated Physician Appointed To Commission On Cancer

(Hollywood, Fla.) — Maury Jayson, M.D. recently received a three-year appointment as Cancer Liaison Physician for the cancer program at Memorial Healthcare System. Cancer liaison physicians are an integral part of cancer programs approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). In addition, Dr. Jayson serves as Vice-Chief of Surgery at Memorial Hospital Miramar.


Dr. Jayson, whose primary specialty is urology with a subspecialty in pediatric urology, is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Jayson is among a national network of more than 1,600 volunteer physicians, who are responsible for providing leadership and direction to help support their facilities’ cancer programs.


Dr. Jayson, who has a significant interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with malignant diseases, is an affiliated physician with Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital South, Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Hospital Pembroke, Memorial Hospital Miramar and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital – all part of the of the Memorial Healthcare System.
