Q:What is Memorial Hospitality Solutions?

A: Memorial Hospitality Solutions is a project to connect out-of-town families with information about affordable lodging options while their loved one is receiving care at a Memorial Healthcare System facility. It was implemented and is supported by the Memorial Regional Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Council, a group of volunteers who collaborate with hospital staff to enhance services and support for patients and their families.

Families of pediatric patients who are from out of town but are in Hollywood for consultation, clinical trials, or outpatient tests and treatments may access the Memorial Hospitality Solutions information as described above. For questions please call 954-265-0196.

Q: How does a patient's family get medical discount rates from the list of hotels?

A: They can either contact the hotels by phone or follow the link provided to make reservations. They must mention that they are a patient or family of a patient at a Memorial facility. Within 24 hours of checking in to your hotel, you will need to provide the hotel with a Memorial Hospitality Solutions validation card, which can be obtained from the patient's nurse, in order to be offered the medical discount rate.

Please note that listed rates quoted do not include tax and are subject to change without notice. The hotels provide the discounted rates on a space-available basis and may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Q:Who do I need to speak to about housing options and lodging support?

A: Patients or patient family members do not need a staff referral to obtain a medical discount rate and may make their own arrangements with the hotels. You will find housing options and additional information listed under "Memorial Hospitality Solutions Lodging Resource List."

Q: I am traveling to Memorial Regional Hospital or Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital for a consultation. Are there any housing options available to me?

A: Yes, Memorial Hospitality Solutions lodging accommodations have been created to assist out-of-town families while receiving care at Memorial Regional Hospital or Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Such care includes but is not limited to:

  • Consultations
  • Long-term Treatments
  • Surgical Procedures
  • Hospitalization (housing options are available for family or caregiver)
  • Outpatient continuous care (such as heart transplant recipients and family)

Q: How do I receive a medical discount rate from your list of hotels?

A: Patients and family members do not need a staff referral and may make their own arrangements with the hotels. Within 24 hours of checking into your hotel, you will need to provide the hotel with a Memorial Hospitality Solutions validation card, which can be obtained from the patient's nurse, in order to be offered the medical discount rate.
