Clinical Laboratory/Medical Technologist Program
The Memorial Healthcare System has established a scholarship program to assist students in pursuit of a clinical laboratory or medical technology career.
Eligibility:
- Students must have a 2.5 GPA or above
- Candidates who have been formally accepted into a Clinical Laboratory/Medical Technologist program at an accredited college or university and are in their 3rd year are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Enrolled on a full-time basis
Scholarship recipients would receive $6,000 toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree at an accredited college/university for a one year work commitment after graduation and licensure, or $12,000 for a two-year work commitment. Placement may be at any of the Healthcare System facilities and work schedules are based on the hours that best support services at the time of hire.
Applicant Instructions:
- Complete the application forms.
- Request that the college or university forward an original transcript to the address listed on the application.
- Provide three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from a member of your present college/university.
Include any other documents you feel would further enhance your position (Example: academic, recognition or leadership awards). Upon receipt, the scholarship coordinator will review your information and if selected, you will be invited to participate in a personal interview.
